St Pancras supervisor suspended by Emcor

A SUPERVISOR at M&E contractor Emcor has been suspended by the firm over allegations of misconduct on a key Channel Tunnel Rail Link project.

The supervisor was working on contract 588, which involves providing ventilation on the tunnels that will take trains into St Pancras in north London. Emcor won the £70 million deal in 2002 when it was known as Drake & Scull.

A company spokesman said one of its electricians had also resigned following allegations of intimidation against employees due to give evidence against the supervisor.

He added: 'An agency worker has been released from the CTRL 588 contract for the same offence.'

The supervisor is due before an Emcor disciplinary hearing next week.
