State-of-the-art access system spotted in sticks

LETTERS

Sir, I read with great interest Fred Wachsberger's contribution on the latest in scaffold erection techniques in the north of England (Letters, January 19) .

Just before Christmas one of our surveyors was lucky enough to witness one of the 'state of the art' access systems currently in use near our office in Lincolnshire.

The system is constructed of timber components from a sustainable source.

The materials used are eminently recyclable, inasmuch as that the wooden sections can be machined and made into something of use ? perhaps coffins.
