Stowaways hid in truck

ROOFING firm Klober discovered three illegal immigrants stowed away on one of its lorries during a routine stock delivery at its Shepshed headquarters in Leicestershire.

An employee overheard coughing from the lorry, which arrived at Klober after a 700 km journey from Dusseldorf in Germany.

Staff surrounded the vehicle and called the police, who discovered three Albanians freezing after a 14-hour journey.

Klober managing director Andy Adams said: 'This is the first time we've had anything like this happen and we get four or five deliveries a week from Germany.

They were probably surprised to end up in the Midlands.'
