Strata plunders record results

Doncaster firm Strata has announced record results for the fifth consecutive year on the back of a strong performance from its house building operation.
The privately owned firm pushed up pre-tax profits 26 per cent from £10.4 million to £13.1 million in 2004. Turnover also rose 17 per cent to hit £67 million.

Strata's house building operation generated the lion's share of profits, with pre-tax profits of £13.2 million on a turnover of £46.6m.

The construction division delivered a profit of £0.2m on reduced turnover of £18.6 million.

Strata is aiming for 30 per cent growth in 2005 for both the house building and construction divisions.
