Strategic Group increases pre-tax profit by 50pc

Yorkshire building contractor Strategic Team Group has increased its net operating pre-tax profit by 50 per cent year to £3 million partly due to refurbishment and remedial work following last year’s floods.

The company’s revenue for the year ending 31 March increased by 52 per cent on the same period last year to £27 million.

The company said along with refurbishment work on offices, industrial buildings and residential homes following last year’s flood the company’s core markets had remained strong.

Managing director Andy Watson said: “We remain totally committed to our core purpose of delivering building solutions encompassing new build, refurbishment, fit-out, small works and maintenance.”

He remained confident about the year ahead with the company’s future order book is already standing at over £25 million.
