Strength in numbers

THE LONDON Construction Consolidation Centre in Bermondsey is the first multi-client consolidation centre in the country.

In its current form it is funded by Transport for London (£1.85 million), Stanhope and Bovis Lend Lease (£1.35 million) and managed by Wilson James. Performance will be monitored by Constructing Excellence.

The site is currently being used by four major projects ? Unilever House, Bow Bells House, 35 Basinghall Street and 1 Coleman Street ? with a total construction value of £500 million.

It is anticipated that the 5,000 sq m centre and its 26 employees (there are currently 21) will be able to cope with 10 major const ruct ion projects at the same time.
