PEOPLE -strange but true

Black & Veatch Contracting's safety manager Jon Crocombe had a strip or two torn off him during a fund raising stunt for the Shooting Star Hospice appeal. Jon agreed to have his legs and armpits waxed after colleagues pledged £500 towards the charity to see their boss reduced to stubble.

A team of beauticians set about Jon in the car park of the firm's Middlesex offices leaving the Hospice appeal quids in and Black & Veatch with the smoothest safety boss in the business.
