Support for school revamps

SUPPORT services firm VT said it is in discussions to overhaul 13 schools in south-east London under the Government's Building Schools for the Future programme.

The firm hopes to close the £290 million deal by July with the work being carried out for Greenwich Borough Council in three stages. The first will see three secondary schools built and a further two refurbished.

VT chief executive Paul Lester, who is a former managing director of Balfour Beatty, said the firm had its eye on further BSF work.
