SWH hits £60m

A DECADE after being formed to take on Devon County Council's road maintenance, half the workload at SWH is coming from other sources.

Formerly known as South West Highways, the firm turns over close to £60 million after moving into general contracting five years ago.

Managing director Ben Pyle said: 'Around half of our work comes from general civil engineering, the general building market and fleet maintenance workshops and construction industry training.'

SWH's external contracting includes building jobs for commercial developer Summerfield.
