Sykes thrives


Specialist hire group Andrews Sykes has announced interim results for the six months to July 3 this year, showing an increase in pre-tax profit on ordinary activities of 10.4 per cent, from £5.6 million to £6.2 million, compared with the same period in 2003.The past six months has also seen the firm's gearing fall from 27.6 per cent to 20.4 per cent.
