T5 tea dispute

Amec workers have rejected an extra £1.10 an hour on Heathrow's Terminal 5 following a row over tea breaks. The electricians are unhappy that the cash is conditional on them treating the traditional morning tea break as an extension of their lunch break. A site source said: 'There's no way we're standing for this. We are being treated like poor relations on this job and BAA is stirring up all kinds of trouble.'
