Taylor Woodrow to be sentenced for worker death

Taylor Woodrow will today be sentenced for the death of a man who was killed whilst working on the Welsh Assembly's debating chamber four years ago.

John Walsh, 53, fell from a ladder while he was filling a cavity wall with cement at the Senedd building in Cardiff Bay in March 2004.

Mr Walsh died as a result of his injuries.

Main contractor on the project Taylor Woodrow has pleaded guilty to a breach of the Health and Safety at Work Act.

The firm will be sentenced at Cardiff Crown Court.
