Tayside mental health PPP announces shortlist of three

NHS Tayside has shortlisted three bidders for its £100 million Mental Health Developments project.

The shortlisted consortia are the Canmore Partnership, John Laing with Laing O'Rourke, and Taycare with Robertson Capital Projects.

All have been invited to participate in competitive dialogue to provide inpatient accommodation at Murray Royal Hospital in Perth and Stracathro Hospital in Angus.

The project is the first non-schools project to be procured through the Scottish non-profit distributing PPP model and includes a 30-year concession period.

A year-long competitive dialogue will take place before a bidder is chosen.

The successful bidder will start construction work on the new facilities in autumn 2009.
