Terex claims to have the best return on capital employed of all plant manufacturers in 2004, having posted a 20 per cent return ahead of tax.

According to chief executive Ron De Feo the construction industry uses capital poorly.He said: 'I can deliver a disproportionately higher return on capital than our competitors.'
