Terex Demag will supply 65 cranes to the MOD

The deal includes 59 units of the model AC 35 and six AC 55-1s and will be handled by Amey Lex Consortium (ALC), a joint venture between support services provider Amey and defence fleet management specialist Lex Defence.

ALC’s remit is to provide a modern worldwide fleet of construction equipment for the British army, to the value of £600 million over 15 years.

Both models will be manufactured by Terex Cranes France and deliveries will follow throughout 2008 and 2009.
