Thames water


In response to our story 'Mussels clog up London's water' (October 19) a Thames Water spokeswoman said: 'Zebra mussels pose no th reat to the water supply to Londoners.

The mussels are removed as part of our normal process to check our raw water transfer tunnels, and it is not a new nor unusual phenomenon and is one we are able to deal more than adequately with.'
