The benefits of being in it together

Collaborative working: it’s a no-brainer, but it doesn’t happen often enough. Is this because the benefits aren’t obvious? Or because too few clients are genuinely willing to share - plans, risks and their enthusiasm.

This week, CN’s chief reporter Jack Sidders has been on site at King’s Cross, visiting the Argent site where contractors Bam, Carillion and Kier have been in from the start.

They’ve all benefited, and so has the client, which is why it would prefer to work only with the same three contractors. But there is still work up for grabs on the site. Take a look at our annotated map to see what contracts are still to come.
