The golden swerve


DOMESTIC contractors cannot be blamed for seeing the Olympic Stadium as a poisoned chalice. The job has got grief written all over it in the wake of the Wembley fiasco and there are much easier places to make money at the moment.

Glamorous jobs are a great way of raising a firm's public profile, but they can ruin a reputation just as fast.

Perhaps it's a good move for UK boardrooms to vote to give this one a swerve and allow another foreign contractor a chance to make its name in this country.
