Thieves attempt to steal show at SED

PLANT

THIEVES have made off with £18,000worth of generating equipment from the SED site as the exhibition was being dismantled.

Four Arc-Gen generators, used for site lighting at the site at Fen Farm, Milton Keynes, were stolen at some time on Sunday May 23, but the theft was not discovered until Monday.

Thieves cut through heavy chains securing the trolley-mounted Weldmaker and Kubota generators.

SED exhibition sources said that more equipment could have been stolen had the thieves managed to start up a forklift, which they broke into on an adjacent stand.

Arc-Gen is appealing for information leading to recovery of three Weldmaker 200SSDs, serial numbers AG200225/ 5480553, 5480548 and 5480555 and a Kubota Gl6500S, with the serial number 774083.
