Three teams price water treatment job


A TRIO of contenders is looking to tap into an £18 million utility scheme up for grabs in Northern Ireland.

Farrans/Earth Tech, Biwater/ Graham and Paterson Candy/ DawsonWAM/Gleeson are all pricing a new water treatment works at Fofanny in County Down for the Northern Irish Water Service.

It is understood that a contractor for the two-year project will be chosen in March.

The water service will decommission the 40-year-old Fofannybane water treatment works in 2005 when the new plant begins operation.
