Three teams vie for Leeds housing revamp

Three teams have been shortlisted to build up to 475 new homes, refurbish and maintain over 1,150 properties for Leeds City Council over a 20 year period.

The council has invited three consortia to submit detailed proposals for the PFI job after securing funding for the regeneration of Little London and Beeston Hill & Holbeck.

The bidding teams are:

Community Solutions for Regeneration
Morgan Sindall Investments, Lovell Partnerships and regional housing association Chevin Housing Group.

Regenter, Gladedale, Rok, repairs and maintenance firm Equipe and architects EDAW and West & Machell.

Sustainable Communities 4 Leeds (SC4L)
Cyril Sweett, Allied Irish Bank, Frank Haslam Milan, Keepmoat, design firm Gillespies and social housing refurb contractor Milnerbuild.

Work to construct new private homes for sale including affordable homes will be offered under an additional contract.
