Top skills job goes to Corgi man

GAS WATCHDOG Corgi's corporate affairs director, Brian Adams, will become the new chief executive of the CSCS skills card scheme.

Mr Adams, who has been with Corgi for 10 years, will take up the £75,000-a-year post in May.

He will be based at the headquarters of industry pension scheme B&CE in Crawley, West Sussex .

The appointment is part of plans to make CSCS more independent from CITB ConstructionSkills, which administers the scheme.

CSCS chairman Graham Medcroft said: 'This is another significant step forward for CSCS and I have every confidence Brian Adams will use his drive and experience to deliver the scheme's key aims.'
