Tory review

The Conservatives launched a review of construction policies at a meeting with industry leaders on Tuesday.

Shadow construction minister Mark Prisk and shadow trade and industry secretary Alan Duncan hosted the event with the purpose of taking soundings from around 30 representatives from construction umbrella bodies and contractors.

One industry attendee said: 'Mark Prisk said the policy review was designed to bring about a coherent construction policy for the Conservatives before the next election. We covered areas including procure ment, building regulations, sustainability and payment.'
