GE Equipment Services has taken on a fleet of Morooka Tracked Carriers for its East Anglian operations in a bid to reduce the environmental impact of its hire machines. The 6-tonne and 11-tonne machines from dealer Tobin Plant were specified for their ability to work in the region's sof t ground without the rutting caused by wheeled trucks and carriers. Un laden ground pressure is 0.16 kg/sq cm and 0.22 kg/sq cm for the 6-tonner and 11-tonner respectively.

GE regional account director Neil Faulkes said: 'We have operated smaller tracked carriers for some time now but the level of interest being shown in the larger machines is something new.'
