Passenger authority Merseytravel unveiled plans this week for the second phase of the Liverpool tram scheme, worth £200 million.The 15 km-long line will run between the city centre and Whiston Hospital and include stops at Liverpool University and Wavertree Technology Park.Merseytravel wants line one to be operational by 2007 and line two a year later.
