Travis Perkins to host safety breakfast

Stockport builders’ merchants Travis Perkins has joined up with the Health and Safety Executive to increase awareness of safety when delivering materials to construction sites.

The Workplace Transport Campaign aims to highlight the dangers in falling from vehicles and interested parties are invited to breakfast from 07:30 on Tuesday, 13 November on Haigh Avenue on the Whitehills Industrial Estate.

Travis Perkins branch manager Andy Woodier said: "Three million people in UK work with or near vehicles in UK and annually there are 2,000 people seriously injured as a result of falling from a vehicle.

"Travis Perkins are thus delighted to support HSE in getting safety messages across to our customers to try to prevent such incidents."
