T&T makes key appointment

Consultant Turner & Townsend has named Gordon Horsfield as its first non-executive director.

The appointment is the next step in the company’s plan to list on the London Stock Exchange.

Mr Horsfield led Yorkshire-based power generator Drax Group to a successful listing on the London Stock Exchange in 2005 as its executive chairman.

He became non-executive chairman in early 2006 until he stepped down in April this year.

Turner & Townsend chairman Tim Wray said: “I am delighted that Gordon has agreed to serve as a Non-Executive Director of Turner & Townsend.

“His wide-ranging experience will be invaluable to the group in its commitment to list on the London Stock Exchange."

Prior to his role at Drax Group he was director of operations at accountant PricewaterhouseCoopers from 1998 to 2002.
