Workers from Hemel Hempstead-based subbie Getjar carry out a concrete pour as part of its £750,000 contract on a retail and leisure scheme in Croydon, south London. Carillion is main contractor on the £18.5 million project being built on the site of the former Grant's department store. It will eventually feature a nightclub, restaurant, retail units and multiplex cinema. The work, for client Richardson Developments, is due to finish in October 2001.
