Two chase Thames offices

MACE and InteriorExterior are on tenterhooks awaiting the result of a £90 million bidding war over two office blocks alongside the River Thames.

The Lord Foster-designed buildings form part of the More London development, which includes City Hall.

The developer, also called More London, has opted for a construction management contract, echoing the procurement route used for City Hall itself.Mace bagged that deal, making it favourite to pick up the latest phase.Bovis Lend Lease is also thought to have looked at the deal but was ruled out of the running earlier in the bidding.

The larger building, a 10-storey block covering 45,500 sq m, will be home to law firm Norton Rose. The job is due for completion in 2007.
