Two ways to erect towers

ACCESS tower association Pasma is warning that tower users should erect and dismantle using only one of two methods, or risk HSE censure under the Work at Height regulations.

The advance guardrail and through-the-trap (3T) methods ensure that no one stands on an unprotected edge while working.

Pasma general manager Peter Bennett said: 'These regulations affect everyone involved with towers. Pasma, in co-operation with the HSE, has approved only two methods of assembling and dismantling towers. These methods are fundamentally different from previous methods and the HSE will be enforcing them soon.'
