Uponor - Puriton barrier pipe system

MODERN MATERIALS AND COMPONENTS

Puriton is a multi-layer composite pipe developed for the secure supply of drinking water through land that has previously been contaminated. A new generation of pipe, it combines the advantages of plastics and metal in a longitudinally-welded aluminium core pipe, with inner and outer layers of polyethylene (PE).

The pipes and fittings are fully DWI Regulation 25 approved for the transportation of potable water.

Puriton provides an impenetrable aluminium barrier to the permeation of contaminants for the whole length of the pipe, even when it has been stressed during bending. The pipe can be bent and formed using the same techniques as for copper pipes, saving the need for costly bends and elbows. The inner and outer plastic layers offer the same benefits as standard PE water pipes, eliminating corrosion and encrustation and reducing head losses.
