Vandals hit Knowsley health job

A HEALTH centre in Liverpool has been vandalised by local yobs while it is still being built.

Galliford Try has been working on the £5.5 million Manor Farm Medical Centre in Huyton for the Knowsley Primary Care Trust.

Ian Davies, deputy chief executive of the trust, said: 'We are angry that such an important project could be targeted in such a way. It is a shame that a small minority of people can behave in such a disgraceful manner.'

The vandalism is not expected to delay the centre from opening in January 2007.

Galliford Try declined to comment.
