Virtual reality

PLANT AT SED - SED IN BRIEF

Plant manufacturers will be able to slash the costs of R&D thanks to virtual reality software that creates a life-size image of the machine, which can be viewed in three dimensions, according to the Construction Equipment Association. The CEA is demonstrating the system at a series of roadshows.'Component suppliers can get on board at an early stage to discuss how to improve the machine before it is even built. It will be great for taking the waste out of the system. You will even be able to take the unbuilt machine for a drive, ' said CEA adviser Ray Golson.
