Volvo clean-up

Volvo is to invest £48 million in what it claims will be the 'cleanest topcoat paint shop in the world' at its truck cab plant in Umea, Sweden.The paintshop, due to open in 2007, will feature new coating technology and materials, resulting in emissions 'five to six times lower than EU limits'according to the firm. It is so environmentally-friendly that it qualifies for a £6 million environmental grant from the EU.
