Volvo cuts FL brake distances

VOLVO has launched a range of trucks aimed at the light construction haulage market. The FL series of 180, 220 and 250 hp trucks features new disc brakes, which are claimed to reduce the stopping distance by 30 per cent at 80 kph, along with electronic fuel-injection engines. The vehicles are also available in gas-powered versions. The new FL range replaces the previous FL6 machines.

Among the features is an electronically regulated air suspension which allows rapid loading and unloading and keeps the load platform at a constant height when the vehicle is being driven.
