Volvo sets up rental in Ireland

PLANT LAUNCHES

VOLVO Construction Equipment has set up its first compact equipment rental business in Ireland with the launch of Volvo CE Rents at Tullamore Tool & Plant Hire in Tullamore, County Offaly.

But British distributor Volvo GB, which has no presence in the Republic of Ireland, stressed there were no intentions to expand the CE Rents operation into the UK mainland.

The establishment of the franchise at Tullamore represents a small-scale start for Volvo's rental concept away from continental Europe, being limited to the predominantly agricultural Offaly area.

Under the franchise, the Tullamore business will offer a range of Volvo compact equipment for hire, alongside other brands where required.

When Volvo's own skid steers and telehandlers come on stream, they will be added to the CE Rents range.
