VW gets thumbs-up from prize winner

KNS SERVICES, a plumbing and central heating contractor based at Waterlooville in Hampshire, has given a vote of confidence to the new Volkswagen LT van that it won in the Interbuild 2000 pre-registration draw in May.

The business, run by father and son Kester and Paul Fox, has been operating since 1984 and had been looking for a van to carry its equipment and materials, including 3 m-long copper piping.

Paul Fox said: 'Having previously used an old Land Rover, we were concerned about the LT's flexibility on small roads and in remote areas, but we've had absolutely no problem with it.'

Mr Fox added that the LT had cut operating costs to such an extent that the company was considering taking on an apprentice.
