Wakemans lined up for Mere Green

Birmingham-based quantity surveyor Wakemans has been appointed as project manager on a £50 million mixed use scheme in Sutton Coldfield.

Castlemore Securities and its residential and regeneration arm, Spring UR is set to build retail and residential accomodation on the three-acre brownfield site in Mere Green.

The scheme, which has been approved by Birmingham City Council, will create a ‘village square’ will be surrounded by 25 ‘boutique style’ shops, linked to restaurants and cafes by landscaped pedestrian walkways.
Three upper storeys will house 152 apartments and 226 parking spaces provided.
