Wall collapse at Arsenal stadium site

Emergency services flooded to the site of Arsenal Football Club's new stadium in north London after a 7m high wall collapsed today.
Fire rescue crews used heat-seeking equipment to search for workers potentially trapped under the two-storey perimeter wall in Queensland Road, which collapsed at 11.15 am.

Police closed the road and an air ambulance was sent to the site as a precaution, although workers on the Sir Robert McAlpine job had a lucky escape.

A police spokesman said that three vehicles were badly damaged in the collapse. The Health and Safety Executive has launched an investigation.
