Water companies miss leakage targets

Two water companies have failed to hit their targets on reducing water leakage from their pipes, according to a report out today.
Thames Water in the South East and United Utilities in the North West both missed their targets by millions of litres a day, according to a study from the water regulator, the Office of Water Services.

Other companies in England and Wales fared better, leading to an overall reduction in the number of litres of water lost to pipe leakage.
