Water verdict next year


TWO teams will find out next spring whether a £200 million water job on the south coast will get planning clearance.

Southern Water will hear next April whether local government secretary Ruth Kelly will give the all-clear to a waste water treatment plant it hopes to build at Peacehaven in East Sussex.

A group featuring Amec, Morgan Est and Gleeson, now owned by Black & Veatch, is up against a team comprising Costain, United Utilities and US consultant Montgomery Watson Harza for the work.
