Wates takes schools deal

CONTRACTS SLOUGH

WATES has chalked up a £44 million deal to build three schools in Berkshire under the Private Finance Initiative.

The firm has beaten HBG and Kajima for the work in Slough.

A secondary school and special needs school will be built on one site. A new primary school will also be built at a separate site.

Work on all the schools will start next February and be finish in time for the new school year in 2007.
