THE FAMILY Housing Association has appointed 11 local contractors for a £30 million revamp of south Wales homes.

The four-year framework deal will involve building 200 homes as well as improving 2,000 houses in Swansea, Neath, Port Talbot and across Carmarthenshire. Funding is from the Family Housing Association, the Welsh Assembly and the private sector.

The firms on the framework are Gibson Heating and Plumbing; maintenance firm Service Total; window company Seal; painting contractor CJ Else; Taurus Electrical; P&P Decorators; and Taurus Property Maintenance. The building contractors are Cowlin, Jistcourt, JR Edwards and Sutton Bros.
