White calls for focus

MACE chairman Bob White has vowed to take Constructing Excellence back to its original objective after being appointed as the new CEO.

Mr White took over the role at the end of last month after two years as deputy chairman.

He replaced Dennis Lenard, who has left to take up other business opportunities in the UK and Australia.

Mr White said: 'One of the big issues that has concerned us this year is that our activities have dispersed somewhat and overlapped with other agencies. We want to get away from that and get back to our original remit of innovation and being a mouthpiece for that.

'We also have to realise that our industry can significantly benefit from better education and research.'
