Who pays this much?

Letters

Sir,

PLEASE could Mr Craze of the TGWU tell me where he gets the figure of £90 a day holiday pay entitlement (Letters, October 21)?

I am sure most employees working for the constructionindustry would like to receive this amount.

On an average hourly rate of £7 an hour for 39 hours or even 50 hours a week - which is a morerealistic figure for the construction industry - the amount is not equivalent to £450 a week.

I would like Mr Craze to give the address of the company that pays a rate of £9 an hour-plus for a general operative or a semi-skilled employee.
