The CSCS Link card is good news on four counts:

It helps to protect or enhance an individual's job prospects as more and more companies adopt CSCS which means that it might soon be hard to get a job without such a card.

It will help individuals when they apply for other jobs because the card is proof to a prospective employer that they are skilled and have recent and relevant health and safety awareness training.

As cardholders, individuals will be part of a national scheme which aims to raise standards in the construction industry and ultimately drive out the 'cowboy' element.

Companies can improve their image by participating in anationally recognised scheme.

CSCS Link currently covers 25 occupations but there are also many various sub-occupations within each of the main occupations listed below and you should telephone the CSCS Helpline for more details on how to apply and for which trades.
