Wildcats stadium plans axed

A £60 million plan to build a new stadium for the Wakefield Wildcats has been axed.

Club officials have announced that the scheme was too expensive and that the project was not possible in the timescale of the Super League licence, according to reports.

The club is now in discussions with the local authority to find another solution for a new stadium.
