Wolseley spends £33m on more acquisitions

Plumbing and building materials supplier Wolseley has spent a further £33 million on five bolt-on acquisitions.

The deals are expected to bring in around £45 million to total revenue.

These latest purchases take Wolseley’s spend to £203 million on 15 acquisitions in Europe and North America since August 2007.

In North America Wolseley subsidiary plumbing and heating supplier Ferguson acquired CB Group trading as JC Plumbing Supply and Mastercraft Cabinets. Stock Building Supply snapped up Precision Doors & Hardware.

European deals included Wolseley Eastern Europe buying Gama Myjava and Wolseley UK buying PFC Corofil Firestops.

Wolseley chief executive Chip Hornsby said: “I am pleased to announce these acquisitions. They are excellent businesses that broaden our product and geographic coverage and support our strategy of growing the business through acquisition and organic growth.”
