Wolseley tie up pays off

BUILDERS merchant Wolseley has been appointed nationwide joint supplier for house building giant Persimmon Homes.

Persimmon will use Wolseley to supply its underground drainage systems and bathroom sanitary ware to many of its 350 sites around the country.

The move follows a five-year regional supply agreement.

Keith Barkway, Wolseley sector director for developers and contractors, said the agreement reflected its massive investment in strategic distribution centres.

He said: 'Our partnership over the past five years has culminated in us securing joint supplier status. Our continued investment has been central to the success of the partnership.'
