Worker injured in building collapse

A worker was injured in Vauxhall yesterday when a building, which was being demolished, partly collapsed.

The scaffolding - on which the man had been standing - was knocked down in the incident, which occurred just after 9am at the site on the corner of Kennington Lane and Glyn Street.

The man remains in a stable condition at Kings College Hospital where he was taken with head injuries.

The Health and Safety Executive are investigating.
